Devgad Alphonso Mango to the Buyer/ End User doorstep.
The variety is named after Afonso de Albuquerque, a Portuguese general and military expert who helped establish Portuguese colonies in India. The Portuguese introduced grafting on mango trees to produce extraordinary varieties like Alphonso. The fruit was then introduced to the Konkan region in Maharashtra and Goa (India)
The Alphonso is one of the most expensive varieties of mango and is grown mainly in western India including places such as Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri districts and in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, India.
My role was to fill up the Hugh gap in between Consumers & The Mango Growers/ Farmers. I tried my best to connect farmers & its the customers. So Farmers will completely focus on the quality & the production of the Mangoes. And the End user will enjoy the Genuine, Authentic, Handpicked & best quality Alphonso Mango.
Most of the time after cultivation farmers wont get a space & in the market, Sometimes natural calamities like may visit at the same moment. SO they handover marketing department to the middleman & agents. Most of the time after sending the mangoes in the market, Middle man start doing his bluff business. Exchanging mangoes with the bad & good quality mangoes & start bluffing to the customers along with the mango growers. Middle eat out 75% profit of the business. Because he holds the market he knew the nerves of the market. It affects on the quality of the mangoes and the mango prices too.
Very few farmers are educated, So middleman took advantage of the situations. So I came up with an idea. Why don't create a virtual marketplace for farmers where farmers would sells his mangoes and the end user would get Good quality & best handpicked mangoes. Now a-days every person is using smart phone, So I built responsive website to sell these mangoes to the potential and the target audience.
Aditya is 32 Years old UX Designer, working in a Reputed MNC for the last 7 years. Before he was a Graphic Designer in Advertising Agency. He is Married. His wife is also very good designer & artist, She runs her own design studio. He lives with his parents.
